The cap types are referred to using codes like E27 or ES27 and also with words such as Edison or Edison screw.

On the Litt homepage we also use icons to help you select the right lightbulb.

2000k- 2200k = Extra Warm White

These amber and yellow tones are best used in spaces you want to create a relaxed atmosphere.

2500k = Warm White Plus

A soft buttery hue these bulbs can work in lots of spaces. Only a fraction warmer than our standard 2700k lightbulbs.

2700k = Warm White

The perfect colour for lots of spaces. These work really well in kitchens, bathrooms, workspaces & playrooms. The 2700k also provide great light to read with.

3000k = White

Very crisp white light which is suitable next to bathroom mirrors & task lamps for very detailed work. We do not recommend this colour in other areas of the home.

Lumens refer to the amount of light an LED lightbulb casts. You need higher lumens (400-600) for workspaces or lower lumens (100-300) for when you want to relax.

The amount of electricity a light bulb uses is measured by the watts. Use the lumens if you are trying to gauge the light output of an LED bulb.

YES! We stock dimmable bulbs where possible so you can use them in both dimmable & non-dimmable fittings or lamps.

Vintage style light bulbs are also known as Edison bulbs, which were invented in 1879. Sometimes they are also called, "retro", "funky" or "cool" lightbulbs.

The original Edison bulb has a filament in them, and now we have LED equivalents that deliver the same looking warm glow with energy saving technology. Check out our vintage LED section.

LED Lightbulbs

LED light bulbs use just 25% of energy compared to regular bulbs. This means that a single high-quality LED light can last years, saving power while
being kinder to the planet and your pocket.

Thanks to new technology, any light bulb from vintage style bulbs to spotlights are
available in LED form, so there’s no need to settle for generic alternatives.

All electrical items incusing LED and regular lightbulbs must be recycled.
